ARE DIAMONDS REALLY CONFLICT FREE?
The Short Answer is No.
Since 2003 all legally traded Diamonds globally are certified Conflict Free by an accord called The Kimberley Process. Although this system was put into place to ensure that diamonds are not used to fund wars or genocides, there are many diamond mining communities that are not only not benefiting from their natural resource, but are actually enduring unspeakable hardships as a direct result of the diamond sector operating in their communities.
It is our aim to bring as much transparency as we can to all our sourcing, and since we are currently unable to verify the source of these diamonds, we are holding a fundraiser to benefit the grassrooots activists who are working to bring TRANSPARENCY and EQUALITY to the diamond sector.
Help us Reform The Diamond Industry
We are Donating 10% of ALL our sales during the month of April to the Kimberly Process Civil Society Coalition.
